January:  Running with the Big Dogs

February:  History of Male Quilters
n February, quilter Terry Mosher will present a lecture called the History of Male Quilters, based on his touring exhibition of quilts by men. Terry has a 30 year history of quilting and other forays into fabric manipulation including teaching sashiko, the Japanese method of decorative surface stitching and his perfection of the millefiore method of English Paper Piecing. Love crafts?  We made this cute Christmas Gnome for our Christmas Craft.  What a fun time!

Ornament Exchange

For those who wanted to, we exchanged ornaments.  While Mollie read the story, we all had a fun time in our ornament exchange game trying to pass the bag every time the word or part of the word "Quilt" was said!
Some wonderful blocks came in for our Christmas Block Group Raffle drawing.
The lucky winner was Debbie Miles.  We hope she will bring the quilt in for show and tell when she gets done!

November 2019 - Quilts of Valor

October 2019 - Jo Lynn O'Neil

At our November meeting, we honored our veterans with a presentation of a quilt.  Such a moving ceremony.  Then a speaker from the Quilts of Valor Foundation talked to us more about the process and answered questions!
Jo Lynn O’Neil. She teaches and runs a quilt retreat house west of Fort Worth named Rock House Retreat in Santo, Texas.

In October, we welcomed back one of our favorites, JoLynn O’Neill talking about scrap quilts and paper piecing beyond the hexy. She presented a workshop on English paper piecing.
